Who we are

to provide postdoctoral continuing education for the chiropractic
orthopedic specialty. The College is an independent, not for profit,

Why seek care from a Chiropractic Orthopedist?
Board certified chiropractic orthopedists are doctors of chiropractic who have completed extensive postdoctoral education in non-surgical orthopedics, and have passed rigorous specialty Board examinations leading to Diplomate status as a chiropractic orthopedist. Less than 2% of chiropractic physicians attain this status.
To become Board certified, the chiropractic orthopedic specialist is required to demonstrate advanced proficiency in the evaluation and non-operative management of a broad range of injuries, conditions and disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system with particular emphasis on the spine and extremities.

A letter from our President
July 10, 2018
I hope the beginning of your summer has been great and continues through the year.
I want to thank you for your attendance at our Convention in Carlsbad. Our fantastic speakers and attendees made for a great event and hopefully you learned a lot and were able to use that information to help your patients. If you were unable to attend this year’s conference you missed a lot of great presentations and helpful content. I love that every year I bring home new information that I can use right away.
We already have great speakers in line for our Convention next year, which will be held on April 25 - 27, 2019, at the Tropicana in Vegas. Make sure that you mark the dates on your calendar!
The Board of Directors and I would like to thank NCMIC for their continued support of this program. NCMIC helps to sponsor speakers, as well as, sponsoring our General Membership Luncheon. They are a vital part of our convention and our profession.
I would like to acknowledge the members and the Board of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists and the Council of Chiropractic Orthopedists. We had a great Coalition meeting this year. Each organization plays an essential role in working collaboratively to ensure the success and the longevity of our Orthopedics Specialty. I’m very excited about some possibilities coming this year to allow us to work more closely together to strengthen our profession and our specialty. The upcoming year has some great things occurring to help us grow, strengthen the Chiropractic Orthopedic community and revitalize this specialty. We do need help from our members though. It is not only vital that every Diplomate in Orthopedics maintain their membership in the College, Academy and Council; it also important to help search for prospective members, attendees for the convention and possible applicants for the Diplomate program. Many hours at this year’s convention could have been applied to the program and next year’s convention should be the same.
Please visit the respective websites of each board and submit your application(s). All three groups are looking for volunteers (aka new blood) to serve on the respective boards and to work on their projects. www.accoweb.org www.ccodc.org dcorthoacademy.com

Thank you again and we will see you in Vegas next year!
