Friends and Colleagues

As many of you know, April will soon be upon us and that can mean only one thing, the 2024 ACCO Orthopedic Conference at the beautiful Omni Las Colinas in Dallas Texas. The board of the ACCO has been hard at work putting together a great lineup of speakers with topics that we feel all will enjoy and take something home to implement on Monday.

State CEU approvals are coming in daily for both in person and the live remote options with MOC (maintenance of credentials) approval as well from the University of Bridgeport. The ACCO has applied for CEU to all states, and for an up to date approval list please see American Colleges of Chiropractic Orthopedists 2024 Annual Convention | Courses | Northeast College

For those of you who are not familiar with MOC and the importance of it in our specialty, I ask you to please refer to the IANM’s website for more information:

https://ianmmedicine.org/maintenance-of-credentials-moc/ .

We at the ACCO along with our sister organizations IANM and CCO feel that maintenance of credentials is vital for the validity of our specialty and something that truly distinguishes us from other groups.

On a final note, both the ACCO and CCO have different scholarships in place to assist with the costs associated with earning one’s diplomate. Along with the University of Bridgeport’s generous pledge to match the ACCO and/or CCO’s contribution, this makes for a substantial amount towards the price of obtaining one’s DIANM. We hope that these scholarships may encourage those who may be interested in pursuing this specialty to take the next step in signing up and starting to obtain their hours through one of the various educational providers including the ACCO and University of Bridgeport.

For any of those interested in attending or for more information check out our event link https://acco.wildapricot.org/Events . We hope to see many of you in April, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Jon A Dominique, DC, DIANM
